In a statement issued by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario, or RNAO, its Chief Executive Officer Doris Grinspun said college faculty “deserve the security and dignity that comes with full-time work, and students deserve continuity in their education.”

“Given that this strike is now in its fourth week, we urge the College Employer Council to return to the bargaining table and negotiate with [the] Ontario Public Sector Employees Union.”

Grinspun made clear its support for students, including many nursing students that one day may join the nurses’ association.
